From the dense and viscous soup of molecules, the swamps, so nutrient rich so toxic they may be, life emerges and life fades away.
The title of our multimedia magazine is very ambiguous, it is optimistic and pessimistic at the same time, it comprises nature culture, cross species empathy, the good, the bad and the ugly. All the threads are there at any time. The content we delineate depends on our views on the world and our being in the world.
The swamps of life are all about relations, never about the thing per se. What makes up for life are relations, nothing exists alone.
This is what we want to depict on the colorful and whimsical pages. The relations of things and beings change the meaning from what we try to get across.
The swamps are a nutrient-rich environment that create the most diverse worlds that may appear mutually exclusive to you. Should I dare to say that this exclusiveness does not exist for us as relations don’t know inclusiveness or exclusivity.
