HAPPINESS, SO CLOSE AND YET SO FAR

In this article the discrepancy between the images, the video and the text is huge.

Meanwhile we have October. The gap between our attitude towards life in the beginning of 2020 compared to today did not close. It still widens as people get more and more aggressive or desperate. Social-distancing did not do us any good.

Masks, disinfectants and reckless vaccine developments dominate what we really need is immunity.

At least since March the world - here exclusively seen from the corona perspective -  finds itself in a sort of an emergency state. A weird attractor of arbitrary rules and regulations has a firm grip on us. Bad science took over the lead in a way that has never been so obvious to me.

Critical discourses submerge permanently in the wild ocean of propaganda of governments, media stations, social media platforms and experts of dubious quality.

Since months we try to keep up our spirit via online applications. We are all tired of this kind of communication. It makes us sick.

NEWS TURN INTO TORTURE - BE THEY FAKE OR NOT

At least since March the world - here exclusively seen from the corona perspective -  finds itself in a sort of an emergency state. A weird attractor of arbitrary rules and regulations has a firm grip on us. Bad science took over the lead in a way that has never been so obvious to me.

Critical discourses submerge permanently in the wild ocean of propaganda of governments, media stations, social media platforms and experts of dubious quality. The content is taken out of context. The arbitrary fabrication of facts is more than conspicuous.

Jumping into happiness became a rare phenomenon.

No images of aesthetical value can reflect the situation accordingly therefore I do without.

Censorship became a common tool of taming those who dare to raise their voices against the mainstream. Good governance turned into a foreign word. The media seems enslaved and cowardly, their big mouths from the times before Corona turned silent. I ignore all "news" by now. They frustrate me and makes me unhappy.

When I shot this short video I had no idea what was about to come within the next months. Looking at it today it feels like paradise lost. People of all colors, of the various beliefs celebrate and enjoy together. Distance was at this time still a forgein word.

Sound and reasonable voices remain unheard. I feel helpless and sad. I am not bothered by the problem of who is right and who is wrong under the current circumstances, as I never see polarization as the adequate way to look at things. It brings us intolerance and unhappiness. If you don’t tick the right boxes as the majority does you get in trouble.

The feeling of loneliness spreads. We are kept apart from beloved ones without any reason. Single cause for this regimentation seems to be intimidation and control of all our moves. The spreading fear among us - more a pandemic than Corona - makes the majority of people obey unjustified rules easily without police force.

Happiness more than ever is where the small things thrive and smile at us unaware or untouched by the world's weird rotations.

HAPPINESS LOST IN TIME AND SPACE

New invisible borders are currently erected at a scaring high velocity. Happiness which in my view is closely related to love, to sharing, to exchange, to create together with like-minded people but also in dispute with others. For the time being happiness is lost in time and space. Don’t dare you to love somebody or something that does not fit into the evolving mindset of constraints.

Is happiness a real thing in times where social distancing is the overall shibboleth of government’s from all over the world. My answer is no. Borders turned into distance holders as never before in my life.

The golem of politics and power is trodding over our lives without remorses, unpredictable, cruel… Happiness is not part of his agenda.

I currently miss a lot of things to call myself a happy person, my camera work, the freedom to travel, my friends spread all over the world, the freedom of opinion and last but not least my civil rights, so diminished now. I miss my friends spread all over the world.
